The most important things that I have considered when reviewing and rounding up these beds are listed below:
Comfort: Of course one of the most important things with any inflatable bed is that it’s comfortable. If it’s not comfortable it’s never a good option. So my favorite 5 tents that I have listed below all are very comfortable as it’s the most important feature for an inflatable bed.
Setup Time: The set up time is also very important. Sometimes you can get tents that come with their own inflation/deflation pumps which make the process much easier. So if you are using a mattress for something like camping where you will have to setup and repack the mattress its definitely wise to choose a bed that is fast and efficient.
Materials Used: It’s important that the bed you choose is made from solid materials. Not only will this prevent a puncture from happening but it will also greatly help to prevent air loss throughout the night. Some brands also like to add soft touch materials on top to give it an added layer of comfort.
Adjustability: Some of these inflatable beds can be adjustable for things like air pressure. So for example if you like a firmer bed that offers more support you can put more pressure into the bed to achieve the firmness that you would like. It’s important that your bed is adjustable so it can be changed to suit you to make it as comfortable as possible.
Portability: It’s important that your bed can be portable and easy to move around if needed. If you are using this bed for you next camping adventure for example it would be wise to have a bed that is very portable and can be carried around easily.
Value for Money: Not all beds offer the same value for money. So I have chosen beds from different prices ranges that offer the best value for that price range so you can choose the best bed for you.
Warranty: The longer the warranty on a bed the better. Not only does this provide you with cover if something did happen to go wrong but it also shows that the manufacturer is willing to stand behind their product which is usually a strong indication of a quality product more often than not.
All of the beds below match the above criteria with flying colors. I will be highlighting each of the beds best aspects and features.
Best Inflatable Bed: Best Air Mattress Reviews
SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress with ComfortCoil Technology & Internal High Capacity Pump
In terms of comfort this is the one of my favorites. This queen size air mattress holds it shape and its overall structure much better than most of the competitors. This greatly helps with keeping the same pressure level and comfort along with that. The top of the mattress is covered with a material that is pleasant to lie on without any sheets on top which can’t be said for mattresses that don’t have this. It also has a coating on the bottom which basically stops the bed from moving around, it’s basically a grippy material. This stops any mattress movement on surfaces like wood where your mattress can move around a lot if you didn’t have this coating applied.
The setup and inflation on this bed is very good. It has an included pump which can be used to both inflate and deflate the mattress in about 5 minutes in my experience which is brilliant. This is an excellent inflatable air mattress.
Intex Pillow Rest Raised Airbed with Built-in Pillow and Electric Pump, Queen, Bed Height 16 1/2″
This Intex air mattress is a more affordable option. It has the main two things that any air bed needs. That is, it provides a comfortable experience and it actually comes with an electric pump. For the price Intex is selling this tent at, it’s really great they have included an electric pump. If you buy an air mattress without a pump it can often cost you an additional $30 for a decent one so them including it adds a lot of value to this bed.
Intex Dura-Beam Series Pillow Rest Raised Airbed with Fiber-Tech Construction and Built-In Pump, Queen, Bed Height 16.5″
The thing I really like about this air mattress is its materials used and structure it maintains throughout the night. The materials feel durable and like they were built to last years and years on end. Also for being a fairly inexpensive option the support is great and much better than the competitors at this price range. It also includes an electric pump which again is brilliant for this price range of mattress.
Insta-Bed Ez Bed Air Mattress – Queen
If you are looking for a higher end air mattress that you can use for extended periods of time this just might be the best choice for you. Let me explain. Out of all the air mattresses that I have used, if I was to use one for an extended time I would have to go for this one. It provides immense comfort that is comparable to a normal mattress. One of the cool features I really like about this tent is that you can adjust the firmness of the mattress to suit your needs. There are 3 options plush, medium and firm. This is perfect, its flexible to suit what you like to offer you the most comfortable experience.
This mattress is also great at maintaining its pressure throughout the night due to almost silently maintaining the pressure using the included pump. It has a unique 2 air pump system, its patented to insta-bed.
Lightspeed Outdoors 2-Person PVC-Free Air Bed with Battery Operated Pump
This air mattress is one of the best for use outdoors. It has a low profile which makes it ultra-portable and easy to carry around using the included bag. The material that it is made from is designed to be lightweight, not only is the material lightweight but its durable and its feels strong and well put together. It’s perfect if you want to use it for a camping or hiking trip for example. A pump is also included which is much appreciated. Even with its low profile the comfort is surprisingly great and I would have no problem sleeping on it for weeks on end. If you are looking for a portable option that’s both comfortable and durable this is easily the best choice!
